Arlene attends Grace’s Courage Crusade Dinner Party!

Posted on: September 29, 2010

Wow, that was one fantastic, inspiring, and motivating evening. Over 250 friends, family and supporters of Grace’s Courage Crusade came together on September 25th in Narragansett, Rhode Island to celebrate Grace Caldarone and to demonstrate our support for the cause: funding CMT research and supporting those living with CMT.

Guests enjoyed great food, live musical entertainment, exciting raffles and down-to-the-wire silent auctions. We learned about some of the latest research into CMT: drug tests are continuing for CMT1, and a symposium will be held in November to create a strategic plan to address CMT2.   And we sold over a hundred signed copies of Arlene on the Scene!

It is amazing to think that Grace’s Courage Crusade started just a few years ago and has accomplished so much.  Imagine what we can do!  As we spread the word about our cause through projects like the publication of Arlene on the Scene, we create awareness of the prevalence of CMT and the promise of research.  This in turn produces funding, and then tangible results for people living with CMT.  With the kind of spirit I felt last Saturday night, I know we can accomplish tremendous things!

We are Grace’s Courage Crusade.  We are on the scene.  And we will make a difference.

Hey Carol! Congratulations on the book AND the blog. You continue to be an inspiration. Love the pictures from the evening (and of course love getting a glimpse of the tattoo!). Love, susan
